I want to know how much to pay my niebor for cat sitting for 5 days. ?

I have 2 cats, and the boy needs to water the plants and take in the garbage. Its for 5 days two times a day. Any ideas?

  1. If they also have a pet, you could offer to return the favor when they are on vacation.  Otherwise, I'd say pay at least $5 a day, especially if it's a kid cat sitting.  If it's an adult, I'd set a flat rate.


  2. When I pet sit I charge $15 per trip. My price is cheap compared to bonded pet sitters which usually charge $18-20 per trip plus $5 per each additional pet above one.

    I think that $5 per trip for the neighbor boy should be sufficient as he

    doesnt have far to travel to take care of your pets.

  3. I paid someone $19 per visit to watch my cat and she visited every day for 5 days. She also brought in the mail and watered some flowers.

  5. I pay someone $25 for actually staying in my house and caring for two large dogs, a cat, fish, and a few plants.

    I think $5 a day is plenty for someone stopping by twice a day for a few minutes.
