  1. Just do a websearch for "Art festivals, (and your state or region).  A whole bunch of links will show up for sites that list festivals, and, to the sites of specific festivals.  Look around the sites for contact information and for entry rules.

Costs will vary, as well as the quality of the venue and booth requirements.  Some art shows and festivals are "judged," so that your art has to be approved before they will accept entries.  Some have limited spaces and limits about what kind of art may be displayed.  Some will offer inclement weather refunds and some will not.

Spring and summer are the busiest seasons, with multiple festivals going on EVERY weekend in some areas.  Holiday season botique festivals are also popular.  In areas with mild weather, festivals go on year round.  Expand your search to include music and wine festivals, plus fairs that celebrate a local agricultural product, such as strawberry festivals, cherry jubilies, artichoke, garlic and mushroom festivals.  Many of these will also include arts and crafts displays.

The point is, that you will have to do a LOT of research, on your own, and make some decisions on where you apply.

I used to do custom airbrushed tee shirts and tote bags at these events.  Made some good money, but it was a LOT of hard work.
