  1. There is a different in inches and ohms! The inches is just the size of the speaker cone, -- ohms is resistance of coil in speaker that makes it vibrate cone!

Spearkers come in many "impedences" (stated in ohms)!  Common ones are 2 1/2,4,6, 8 12,16 ohms, and many "maverick" sizes!  When you put speakers in series, the "Ohms" add up to higher total!  For instance 2 -"4ohm" speakers in series are 8 ohms! The same two speakers in parallel, would be 2 ohms!   And if instead you had 2-16 ohm speakers, -- in parallel they would be your "8 ohms!

There is a formula called "Ohms Law"   That can be used to figure out parallel impedences, -- but rule of thumb is that in parallel the total will always be less than the highest impedence speaker used, --- wehn in series they just add one to another !

    **********************************

Now if you wanted to use all of them on one channel, use two pairs in parallel = being 4 ohms per set,-- when placed in series (2 parallel sets hooked one to the other)-- . makes 8 ohms  If you want two on each channel, then you will need to use a resistor to balance impedence values.  Two in series with a 16 ohm reasistor across the set will  equal 8 ohms, --- or two wired in parallel, with a 4 ohm resister in series with the line will equal 8 ohms!   Of course if you have 4 channels, then just throw one in each line and you are done!

  2. Wire them as shown in the link below...
