I want to know if anyone has any ideas where to stay in Port Douglas FNQ. ?

My son(11) and husband want to stay in a resort or something like that. But affordable. Maybe a self contained unit there would be good too so we can save money on cooking. Can anyone help?

) - beautiful facilities and good value for money. Really friendly staff and great location too - you can get buses into town every 15 mins - the local bus company runs a great service.

We had the 2 bedroom apartment and it was huge! Balcony's off both bedrooms and the lounge area. Kitchen with fridge, microwave oven etc - which saved us a lot of money on meals.

On Friday nights they also have a bbq and band for all to enjoy. It's recently been renovated so all the finishings are modern.

If you are looking for a great dining experience whilst in Port Douglas I highly recommend Salsa - the food and presentation were first class.
