  1. heres watcha do put um in a bathroom sink with a little amont of water then damp him with some water.and get a hampster spray bottle that make them smell oh so good!<3 or get cat wipes but giving them baths is so much more fun! as long as they don't drown!

  2. Don't put your hamster in water ever. They do not need it and can die really fast from wet tail or catching a cold. Hamsters clean themselves because they are neat freaks so you don't ever have to worry about it getting dirty unless you didn't ever clean his cage.

  3. Keeping two hamsters, I recommend you don't clean them beacuse they already do that by l*****g themself.

Anyways, it wouldn't be easy to hold a hamster still when they're moving around so much.

But if there's an unpleasant odor on your hamster, the most you should do is wet a napkin or soft cloth in lukewarm water and stroke it gently over all areas.

Never bathe the hamster like you would take a bath, it stresses them and they might get sick.

Make sure to never use any cleaning products unless there is a hamster-safe cleaning agent provided in pet stores that would be very gentle.

  4. yes. soak it in lukewarm water and apply a little dab of shampoo. aka human hair care. then rince and dry about halfway.

  5. Like the first answer, but you could easily make your own little bath to put in his/her cage with household items, you may have some ideas on what to use..a bowl..a lid of some sort..nothing very deep.

    Good luck!

  6. You can give your hamster a bath if you think it needs it.  Normally no, they don't.

If you give your hamster a bath, use a little mild shampoo or even a drop of dishwashing liquid, and rinse very well.  Then don't let the hamster get cold; it should be fine.

  7. They can catch a cold easily if you were to bathe them. But, in many stores they sell Critter dust bath sand and he'll roll around in it to get himself clean.

  8. If you buy chinchilla sand (NOT dust) and a little bath house, they like to roll around in it!  But you shouldn't give them showers/baths with water, it's not necessary. :)
