I want to know if it is ok to give a floating bridal shower at work for lunch time?

The bride has many friends all across the hospital of which she has provided 24 ladies. Many of the people only have 30 minutes. So the thought is to have a nice spread for lunch and spend some time with the bride. 11a - 1p

I think it is a wonderful idea. That way everyone gets to attend when it is possible for them. Good luck

We do this at our office for baby showers.  Due to doctors schedules we can't be there all at once, so it's nice for everyone to come when they can.  Just make sure to have enough food.  It sucks for the last person to get there and theres nothing left.

As long as the bride can be there the whole time an open house type shower sounds like a nice idea.

That is just fine. Us nurses do it all the time where I work. It works out perfectly because we have to have on call all the time so we swtich off so everyone can enjoy the food and people we are celebrating. Double check to assure it is ok and then go for it.

Yes, that's a fine idea for a work time shower.  That's what we used to do when I worked in a big office.  We would just send out an email with the time and people would come as their schedules permitted.

I wish all wedding showers were only 30 minutes!

Absolutely fine.  I have attended these.  It's sometimes the only thing that works.
