  1. Try searching "American Football" or NFL on wikipedia.

  2. wikipedia is your best bet or google

  3. There are a bunch of teams, some of them are the Green Bay Packers, Washington Redskins, New England Patriots, New York Giants, New York Jets, Tampa Bay Bucaneers, Chicago Bears, San fransisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, San Diego Chargers, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Hornets, Indianapolis Colts, and Carolina Panthers.

Players- quarterbacks, brett favre, tom brady, eli manning, peyton manning, philip rivers, tony romo, aaron rodgers, jason campbell.

Wide recievers- Chad Johnson, Donald Driver, terrell owens, randy moss.

Running Backs- ladanian tomlinson, clinton portis, caddilac williams, and Shawn Alexander

Defensive players, Brain Urlacher, shaun marion, charles woodson,

Rules and how to play, on offense the quarterback hikes the ball and it is handed to the quarterback, then the quarter back either hands it to the running back to run or pass it to the wide reciever to pass. the defensive ends try the tackle the quarterback before her gets rid of the ball of tries to tackle to runningback. the safties, defensivebacks, and cornerbacks try the stop the wide reciever from catching it, he tries to intercept th ball. if anyone drops the ball after having control of it, there is a fumble. a field goal os when you kick the ball into the posts for 3 points. a touchdown is worth 6-8 points, when you score a touchdown it is 6 points, then you decide if you want to go for 1 or 2 points. one point is normal and that is a short field goal, but 2 points is another play from the 2 yard line used in desperate situations. the quarterback is not allowed to throw the all after he passes the line of scrimmage, or where the ball was hiked from. no going across the line of scrimmage before the quarterback hikes the ball. no tackling anyone unless they have the ball.

History- Packers won the first two superbowls under the coach named vince lombardi, the superbowl has the two best teams in it. the winner of the superbowl gets the vince lombardi trophy. in the early years of football you didnt have to wear helmets. top six teams from each conference make the playoffs, that top two get a week off. the bottom four play each other and the two winners play the two teams that had the week off, the winner of those games face off in the conference final and the teams that win those games go to the superbowl

  5. From a 13 year old girl to a 13 year old girl:

-Each team has 52 players, but they are not all on the field at once.  A bit more than half are backups (2nd string and occasionally 3rd string, incase the starters (called 1st string) get hurt.  The whole league is called the NFL, and within the NFL are divisions called the NFC and the AFC.  All the teams play 16 games over 17 weeks within their divisions.  The extra week is called a "by".  The teams who one the most games play playoffs in their divisions, and the 2 teams left play each other in the superbowl.  When you play football, they start out the game with a coin toss.  The away team picks heads or tails, and whoever wins the toss gets to start with the ball.  The losing team (Let's call them the Dolphins) picks which side they want to defend, and they kick off.  The other team (how about the Jets) get in position to catch the ball.  When they catch it, they can either run it back or take a kneel (a touchback) and automatically start at the 20 yard line.  Let's say the Jets do that.  So now they have 1st down and 10 at their own 20 yard line. A down is basically a chance, you have 4 of them to go 10 yards.  Now they can either do a running or a passing play, usually a running.  Now, one of 4 things can happen. 1-They manage to get up the field and score a touchdown.  That's 6 points, and then they usually go for an extra point (field goal) or a 2 pointer (start at the 10 and try to get the ball in the end zone).  Then they kick off to the dolphins and the whole thing repeats.  2-They can't make the 10 yards, so they have a turnover on downs and the other team starts where they were but they are going the other way.  3-They make it almost all the way up the field, but they have 4th down and a lot so they kick a field goal and get 3 points.  4-They are far down the field with 4th down and a ways to go, so they punt it to the other team, like a kickoff.  They can also score 1 or 2 points (i forget) by sacking the other team into the end zone, but that like never ever happens.  There ar also penalties where the team can lose or gain yards.  But thats basically it.  Any more info you need, try Wikipedia.
