  1. Are you asking about applied behavior therapy (ABT)? It is not a disability; it is a type of treatment. Some other terms are person with special needs or person with a disability. In other words, a person is not disabled, but he has a disability.

  2. A great way to refer to a disabled person is to refer to them as "human."  I teach in an inner-city school district in a special education capacity.  What upsets my students more than anything else, is when everyone forgets that they are people.  We all have some kind of disability, (my sister is most certainly challenged in the kitchen).  The only difference between us is that some of us have a diagnosis.

  3. Hi, I think instead of calling a person as disabled, you can use the word challenged. Eg. Physically/Mentally challenged.

You can know more about disability from these sites..

  4. handy caped , and it all depends on the disability

  5. Dear no more disability, Call them Physically challenged/Special children. This is God's Gift to us to serve them rather then our relatives.

  6. How about addressing the person by his or her name? Labels are extremely detrimental and should only be used in the profession for individual educational implementation.
