  1. No advantages!

  2. Your question is poorly phrased.

I believe your question is about the differences on dealing or overcoming natural disasters and man made disasters, like how different it would be overcoming a tornado or a nuclear disaster.

Actually we usually speak of a natural disaster as "disastrous" only if humans are harmed. Before human beings (or in areas where there are non), a river that floods an area, a forest that catches fire, an earthquake that remolds a territory, even if some wild animals where killed in the process, could not be considered a "disaster" but a natural phenomena. Natural equilibrium would be expected after a while since life adapts to new conditions or is replaced by other forms that do.

Now nature would need a longer time to regain equilibrium in the face of a nuclear detonation. But still most people in the States would not consider the explosions in Nevada as a disaster though all Japanese consider those in Hiroshima and Nagasaki as such. Main difference is that many people died instantly in the latter and only a few died at the long term due to the former. But should both be considered disasters in a wider perspective? I think so but then again a disaster is something that we define as such due to it's effects on human life, not because of any intrinsic characteristics. So overcoming disasters is also different for nature than for human beings.
