  1. I don't think it means anything.

The italian to english translation is "expensive Q in bocaluppo".

Caro means costly in Portuguese so I'd say it's safe that "Caro" refers to the high cost of an item.

As for Q or bocaluppo, no clue.  Sorry!

  2. it's to wish good luck to Q

Q should answer CREPI IL LUPO  (not crepi AL lupo, like i red here above).

    and it's:

caro (dear) Q IN (in) BOCCA (the mouth) AL (of) LUPO (the wolf)

  3. "In Boca Al Lupo" actually means "In the mouth of the wolf", which goes back to the historical Roman tale of the two children being found by a wolf in the woods and being taken cared by the wolf. I guess when the wolf trasported the children by its mouth to safety it was very good luck that they didn't get eaten instead!

Hereby, now in modern times to say "In Boca Al Lupo" to someone means "Good Luck!"

You can reply with "GRAZIE!" or "CREPI!" or... if you really want to impress an Italian "crepi al lupo!"

NOW..... as  for Q?... Was that a mispelling? Or it could be slang for "here".

AND AS FOR.... "Caro", it means dear or darling or swetie. (In the male form. And "Cara" for a female.

NOW YOU CAN PUT YOUR SENTENCE TOGETHER!

    ;-D

    Break a leg.....hah,hah.....

    Love,

    Luca

  4. Salve (I salute you)

    Caro means ....darling or

    Caro mio..."my love" ...

But : caro amico: dear friend ...

If someone tells you "in bocca al lupo" is to wish you good luck, and you are supposed to reply "crepi" (maybe you can use the extended sentence as well, i. e. "crepi il lupo")

Since it's so idiomatic, you can't translate it word by word.

It's like "break a leg" or Let's hit the road...Why don't we make like a tree? u know...stuff like that!

BUONA FORTUNA E AUGURI! Congrats and good luck!
