I want to know which is the best project for a Home Theater, i would also like to know what is the best price and place to get one in chennai..iam planning to get optoma DP Projector HD 70

it shd cost abt -70,000 rs  ,,i hav seen the demo of this ,its quiet good,its 720p,  4000:1contrast, 16:9 aspect ratio, 1000ansi lumens is the brightness,,,u can call  09342540415,its called hansapictures ,its in bangalore---they cud give u the full details

I'm in Canada ... so have no local knowledge.

However, an Internet search suggests that Optoma are not a major brand in India ... and largely confined to business (vs Home Theater) projectors.

The Optoma website shows only one dealer for India (Link 1):

Their website shows the HD-70 ... but no prices, so you will have to enquire.

That said, a search at Projector Central (see 2nd link) suggests that the closest dealer that handles the Optoma brand (but not necessarily the HD70) is:

That may be another place to ask.

If you actually wanted to purchase one you could also consider an on-line merchant from almost anywhere if you were to verify that the warranty is valid in India (Some firms allow a warranty to be applicable in at least a region rather than simply one country). You could consult Optoma.
