I want to know what are the difficulties the people with disability face in using the especial technology?

what i mean by especial technology is the technology which creat for their needs

  1. One of the biggest difficulties is the cost of the technology.  The computer programs alone are extremely expensive, but then when you add on the devices they need in order to access the computer programs, the price skyrockets.


  2. In other words adapted technology.

    I'd say one of the main problems they have is that they cannot access everything other people in their circumstances can. For instance a child who uses a switch to access the computer can only play certain games which have been made to work with or have had additional programming to accept a switch whereas another child the same age can play any game they understand the rules to.

    It breaks down and they have to get someone else to fix it. This is mainly due to not having the understanding of how to fix it or limitations on what they are able to do to fix it. For instance you may have something which requires batteries. The batteries go flat - the person may know that the batteries need changing but due to not being able to move their hand very well cannot use a screwdriver to open the battery area or cannot put the batteries in. Or they may only know how it works when it is working. For instance they may know that their computer normally tells them what is being written as each word is completed but not how this is achieved.
