  1. Hmm Let's compare the two cameras. First of all we're going to talk about the specification, and pros ( and some cons ) about each camera.

    The canon sd870

It has a 3.8 inch wide angled zoom

it has an eight megapixel sensor

It has IS ( image stabilized )

It comes in  black and silver

    It has 17 shooting modes

    and has face detection

and a large three inch ( 3) screen

    the nikon s600

It has a ten megapixel sensor ( better then the canon )

it has a 4x zoom ( better than canon, not wide angle though)

    VR ( vibration reduction )

2.7 inch screen ( not as good as canon )

    Same face detection technology

Hmm, i would say that the they are evenly matched in some ways, and some trump the others. But, overall i would go with the nikon, it has ten megapixel sensor, which should, but not necessarily mean it can catch images in low light ( could come with extreme blur ). Due to the high ISO, noise should be visible. Also, the nikon s600 is a very fast camera, it was on t.v in all. i don't see the canon on t.v. Something must be special about the nikon hey ?. Get the nikon has more megapixels, zoom, and is faster. Doesn't necessarily have all of the features, but is better then the canon

    Get the Nikon,
