I know that Richard Albert Ricci was accused of kidnapping her, but the poor man died because he was blue in the face from saying over and over again that he didnt do it and wasnt a part of it! He was so stressed that he would be charged for this crime that he died!!! No one cared... except for me... gee wiz... and I also heard that her parents were a part of it, I would appreciate if NO ONE comments and says its because they are mormon... umm... I am Mormon too and that has nothing to do with it, I think and /heard that elizabeth got pregnant and was afraid and ashamed to ruin her family name, so they planned this all out, let her go for 9 months and then had the baby then came back... what I dont get is, why in the heck does someone care about there "NAME" enough to make a huge deal out of it, all I know is... I think that whole thing was a RIOT... BLAH BLAH BLAH Elizabeth smart

  1. Well Elizabeth Ann Smart was abducted from her Salt Lake City, Utah bedroom on June 5, 2002 at the age of 14. She was found alive nine months later on March 12, 2003 in Sandy, Utah, about 18 miles from her home, in the company of Brian David Mitchell and Wanda Ileen Barzee, who were indicted for her kidnapping but ruled unfit to stand trial.

i have no clue who that Albert Ricci guy your talking about is, but he was never charged with kidnapping her and obviously didn't go to trial because the two above did it. And the rumors and conspiracy theories you listed above are crazy. There is no way a 14 year old could have the mental capacity to plan and execute a kidnapping.

  2. It's all in Wiki isn't it?

    Or in that made-for-TV movie.

You think there's some kind of conspiracy behind it all perhaps? You may be right, we'll never know.

(I don't understand the blah blah blah bit. I'm foreign).

Seems like the reported conman Rich Ricci was pretty small-time, but someone (him or not) kidnapping a 14-year-old for ransom from her millionaire parents does sound good. Better than the "she was pregnant" idea, which sucks, frankly.

  3. The couple that kidnapped her pretty much admitted it.

  4. well, basically she was kidnapped from her bedroom, her lil sis witnessed the kidnapping, and recognized the kidnappers voice, but couldnt remember from where. a few months later, the lil sis remembered the voice and said it belonged to a man who did some house work at their place. found elizabeth alive 9 months later.
