  1. you could try using a steel drill bit (choose one slightly smaller than the s***w head). Put the drill bit in  your electric/battery drill and carefully drill the head of the s***w creating a countersink, this will prevent removal of the s***w

  2. Instead of super glue, try a epoxy compound called "JB Weld" mix a small amount and fill the head after it's installed.

  3. I usually drill out the head of the s***w if it is a pozi drive you may spoil the bit if it is a genuine phillips as these tend to be hardened but it can stil be done! good Luck

  4. A drill bit slightly bigger than a #2 phillips head should do.

  5. use a 1/4 inch drill bit and slightly drill the head until the cross  is no longer visible

  6. super glue the head and away you go

    Good Luck

  7. Have my son install the s***w. He seems to be an expert at striping them. Just kidding. I like the superglue idea. It allows for removal at some point

  8. once it is in use a drill to drill out the "cross"

  9. You could use a glue or epoxy when you drive the s***w in (on the treads). To strip the head of the s***w, use a Phillips that is a size or two smaller than what you need, after its already screwed down, and it should do it. I've done it by accident and it has worked.

  10. Get a drill, and drill out the Phillips s***w head where they won't be able to grip it with at screwdriver to remove it.

  11. A drill bit would work well, but then you will almost never be able to remove the s***w again.  When you pick your drill bit size make sure it is SMALLER  than the head of the s***w or you will loose all holding power of the s***w.  If the bit is too small you will still be able to unscrew the the s***w.

There are also available security screws that you might also consider.  They come in 2 basic types.  The first is not a Phillips type but a straight type of head with the unscrewing "wings" removed.    The second type is removable ONLY if you have the right bit.  It is a star bit , but it has a pin in the center of the star.  The special star bit required to remove the screws are not readily available.

  12. Instead of stripping the heads you can get whats called one way screws at any hardware store.. you can s***w them in and your done. here is a picture of what one looks like.
