  2. This will be different for each person. If each mouthpiece worked exactly the same for everyone, then there would only be about 5 different mouthpieces. Instead, there are thousands. Go try as many mouthpieces as possible and find which one works for what you want. I can tell you one thing for sure though, a mouthpiece is not the issue with the low notes. As a saxophonist, you need to practice long tones and tonguing exercises on the lowest and highest ends of the saxophone to get competent and comfortable playing in those ranges. Those spots are achievable on any mouthpiece, but most players don't take the time to actually work those areas.
