Is it weird to believe is someone elses dream more than your own?

I know this guy and he once told me what he wanted to do with his life. It inspired so much excitement and passion for the future but most of it was for him and not me. When he told me about it, I instantly believed him and I really cant wait to see it come true.

Is this a bit odd because its not my dream and I dont have much involvement in his life. Also does this symbolise that I have a thing for him?

My question is:

Is it weird to believe is someone elses dream more than your own?

  1. No, it's not and no, it doesn't mean you have "a thing" for him.

  2. It's not weird and it doesn't mean you have a thing for him.  Millions of people all over the world follow sports teams and believe in them and think they can accomplish their dreams of winning championships and so forth.  This is no different.

If you really got excited about this guy's dream, he may be one of those stories you follow for the rest of your life, telling your friends, "Hey, I knew him back when..."

It's exciting to watch somebody achieve their success.  That's one of the biggest draws that makes us watch movies and read stories and follow sports teams and support people's projects.

And it doesn't mean you don't have dreams of your own.  It's completely normal to follow your own dreams AND believe in other people's dreams, too.
