When the saw the list of the team announced for 83 world cup for the first time in 1983,i was surprised to see such a brilliant team.That day it self i felt ,this is the best one day team ever,full of alrounders and likes of madanlal,shastri,binny being among the last 3 batsmen.Frankly, i did not expect them to win the world cup,but i knew they would perform well.Many times i felt the selectors ,should also get some credit,or atleast be mentioned somewhere,but till date ,i coulnd find out,so someone let me know.In the recent tv interviews on the 25th anniversary of the win,no player commented on the then selectors.
