what are some of the outstanding principles of learning considered in the method used in the subject you observe?

i'm a philosophy student for four years, and the best way to teach philosophy is using SOCRATIC METHOD (emphasizing, not shouting), questioning the student and keep their mind moving,

also, never act as if your students are dumb!

i hate teachers who act like that, never trusting their students or that they're just incompetent.
