I want to learn how to become an actor but?

I want to start to Act.Can anyone help me find an acting school or acting teachers in the Tampa Bay area in florida like Clearwater,Florida St,pete,Florida in Pinellas county please?I cant find anything im not good at lookg for places.

First off you have to understand this is not something that is going to happen overnight, you will have to be ready to work, make sacrifices and accept rejection. But don't let it get you down! Depending on your age, I would start in school, join the drama club and participate in any plays. Community theaters & civic theaters are a good way to learn experience. Start small, learn as much as you can and take classes. Start locally before jumping to the big cities like NY or LA. If nothing is around you, move to the city nearest you to start. Regency theaters, traveling theater groups, etc are a good way to gain knowledge, experience and be noticed. Audition, audition, audition. Look in the newspaper for auditions. Subscribe to "Backstage" for audition notices. Work very hard, have patience and don't give up!

I would start by just trying to get involved in the drama program at your school. Next try looking in the newspaper (in the Living or Arts&Entertainment section) and see if there are any auditions that you can go on.

Finding a good acting school is going to be tough if you're just looking online. You're really going to have to get to know actors in your area that can recomend classes you can take someplace.

Other option might be to contact a college in central florida and see if they offer non-credit acting classes.
