I want to learn how to make dvd slideshows...?

Question

I want to learn how to make dvd slide shows but i dont know where to begin. I would like to be able to put pictures and video clips into a dvd slide show presentation.

What type of program would you recommend--keeping in mind that I am a beginner?

What are some good web resources to help me find what I am looking for?

any info at all is appreciated!

For beginners and if you don't really want to spend money, use Windows Movie Maker.  Don't believe that guy with OpenOffice because OpenOffice is for presentations and those don't work with DVD players.  All you need to do is make the slideshow with Windows Movie Maker, then use a CD burner to burn the video file into a dvd type file.
