  1. You can go to any local Guitar center where you live or you can just buy a how to play a guitar book.

  2. do the drums................the drummer and the bassist work together and keep the beat, besides, can't you imagine all  of the people who are your fans and want your drumsticks??????????drummers  are ever soooooooooo popular..good for you!

  3. I play guitar...so I'll say guitar.

What I like about it is the versatility. Being able to play an instrument as complex as the guitar is looked upon as amazing. You can play fast songs, slow songs, jam (if you pick up electric guitar), reggae, etc.

I wanted to play drums before and what drums does is help you with rhythm. That's probably the only positive thing about taking up the drums.

But it's all on you and what you want to play. :-)

  4. guitar is alot more practical and probably cooler but if your looking to be in band you'll be a lot more popular as a drummer with a kit coz everyone plays guitar

  5. Both are great skills to have, and both are an art form in their own right.

I would say that it would be better to choose on your own.. try renting a guitar, maybe take a couple lessons and see if you enjoy it a lot, or are wanting to try the drums.

either way its all music.. rock hard

  6. Ive played guitar since I was 12 and its the nicest and greatest sound youll ever hear! Drums are ok but there is nothin compared to the sound of a guitar! I vote: GUITAR!

  7. You have to have some pretty good coordination to play drums.  It is harder than it looks.  Especially if you have cymballs and base drums that you are playing with your feet. Guitar you have to learn your chords.

Whatever you choose practice practice practice.

  8. Guitar is awesome, there are so many possiblities with it. Actually though, I got a suprsingly good beginner guitar set with guitar, amp, strings, a bag, and a stand for only $110. So guitar is probably cheaper.

  9. I say both is really good and they have thier perks.

Guitar - HOT, s**y, AWESOME!!! They sound amazing when you're good... so many people have commented on how awesome I am because I play. My vote for you is guitar. If you want advice on how to get started, read the Best Answer (mine, heh heh) at this link: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?...    Also, you can play guitar anywhere, take it with you on vacations, etc., but it's hard to get good.

Drums - Great if you like hitting stuff! Not portable, but they sound cool and you can really rock out! FRIKIN SWEET!

No matter what, you always gotta practice or you'll SUCK. And you dont want that. Also, they are both hard to learn and are much harder than they look: drums because you need good coordination, and guitar becuase of all the chords and pressing down all the frets and moving your hands around so much. For both, you can get really tired.

  10. Drums, nothing better than pounding out a beat. Plus, you'll be more in demand for bands, since everyone and their grandma plays guitar.

  11. DRUMS i know a lot of people piked guitar and i have played both for many years and drums is by far more fun to play

it can get a little expensive sometimes but its awesome

  12. drums are actually cheaper probably, a begginer drum set is less than 300 dollars, which is about the same as a beginner guitar set, but with a guitar youll always be wanting to upgrade.

i recomend guitar, because you can take one everywhere, you can play all your favorite songs and sing along etc, your friends know what song your playing all that stuff.

  13. Drums is cool. But guitar is HOTTEr
