  1. www.ultimate-guitar.com   has alot of tabs for the guitar an bass  I using it to learn the bass  you can search  by artist  or by song. Check it out

  2. I tought myself how to play...it can be really frustrating...I used "Guitar for Dummies" Volume 2 it's really good at explaining everything...also YouTube is a huge help, there's a ton of tutorials on there that you can learn to play just about any song...some users even take requests for tuturials...whatever you choose, good luck and keep with it!

  3. Teach Yourself Visually Guitar

I believe the newest version is from 2006, seeing as it's different from the one I have. It's a REALLY good book if you're a visual learner: simple, easy to follow directions; diagrams, pictures, etc.

If you want to really learn notes, pick up Mel Bay's Complete Method for Modern Guitar. It's a fat blue book, but it's worth the size, and price.

  4. There are too many to judge.  Your best bet is too find an experienced guitarist to give you some direction.  In the mean time, here's a bunch of free sites.  Good luck.

  5. i used a book from Barnes and Noble called "Learn to Play Guitar" for $13 (has a gibson les paul on front)

    Best way to learn!
