  1. It will depend on what state you are in.

I have been riding for 20+ yrs and I have never heard of a different licenses for a "more powerful" bike.

I would recommend taking a state sponsored training course...  Also, take your test on a small bike!

It was 16 yrs old everywhere I have lived.

  2. you got to be over 17 to ride above 50cc up to 125cc

after that you need to pass your test

  3. You have to have an M1 license and in most of the states you have to be at least 16 years old but like a said it all depends of the states.

If you have never ride a bike before I would highly recommend you to take a MSF course before you adventure in the beautiful world of motorcycles.

  4. I think that's cool, I bought a street bike before a car, that was soo cool, if you're under the age of 18 make sure you take a local rideing class, check at dmv, also you get a discount on you insurance for haveing a certificate, good luck.

  5. For a sport motor bike you have to be 21 becuase my uncle has a sport bike and you have to be 21 for a liscense!"

  6. Why do you need a "powerful' bike?  Learn to ride well with something smaller and by the time you're an expert on it then move to a larger bike.  I've been riding for 12+ years and still prefer my Yamaha FZ6 to anything else I've owned (and I can still keep up to most litre bikes).... Learn to be a good / smart rider first, take the coarses and then buy the power.   Don't be a young organ donor because you think the litre bikes look "cool'.

  7. I think 17 for a powerful bike but may be older. you need to get in there quick as tests are gonna be made harder and more expensive

  8. it is easy to ride a bike

  9. What country are you in?  Rules are wildly different for each one!

UK you can ride a moped (50cc) at 16 after taking your CBT.  At 17 you can progress to a 125 (if you haven't already done a CBT you can take one at that stage) and ride with an L plate - you can then go on to get a full bike license for a limited range of bikes (unsure of the exact limitations - check the DVLA web site).

With a full license at that time, by the time you are 21 you can automatically upgrade to a big bike - or you can wait & take your license on a big bike - but your CBT certificate only lasts 2 years and will need to be repeated if it runs out before you can take a test of any sort.

  10. i got a 600cc ninja zx when i was 17 and noone ever said anything to me
