I want to learn how to skate!

i wanna learn how to skateboard because my mate is coming down on the weekend and he skates. last time i saw him he told me to buy a board ready for when he meets me again to teach me. so i deiced to buy one yesterday but i wanna be ahead of him so i dont look stupid. so heres my question: does it matter what foot you use to push off. im right footed so what part of the board does right foot have to go. so atleast when he comes i can move forward. pleasea answer!

It's called regular or goofy.  

If your'e regular, you push with your kicking foot (the foot you kick a soccer ball with)

If you are goofy, you push with the opposite foot.

I'm goofy.

Hi.  I don't know if you did already, but you might want ot repost this.  You put in ice skating.  But to answer your question you push with your right foot.  Don't be afraid of looking stupid.  your new at this, if you do it wrong you trying.  So Just do your best and don't worry what you look like.  Have fun!
