  1. no.

stay in your midwest house and just shut up and go cow tipping.

nobody wants you in the water.

    freak

  2. If you can swim well enough in the ocean to not be a danger to yourself and anybody else around you, be my guest and try to surf. Go to any real surf shop (not a bathing suit store that sells some surfboards) and hook up with some folks who will rent a you a board and hook you up with some lessons. How much it will costs depends on how long you will be there. If you are a tourist from the Midwest, just there for a week, I hope you have fun, but don't plan on really learning how to surf. I have been at it for over forty years, and some days I feel like I just started. Surfing is the greatest stoke there is, so I hope you at least get to try it, and bring a couple hundred bucks with you. That should cover lessons and board rental for a couple days.

You can tell a real surf shop if it has more racks of surfboards for sale than it has bathing suits and sunglasses. The real surfers there will always help. Be sure to learn surf etiquette first.

  3. Plenty of places  there to learn.  If you wanna stay up on the Southern Shore area check out the shops below.  If you head down into "town" there's another 4-5 surf shops there (WRV, Whalebone, 17th St.  OBBC).

  4. Ur hott....srry i got lost in ur beauty

  5. OBX is def the place to be during summer flat spells because you can just travel all around the island and find some kinda wave since its open to more swell directions theres a place in duck called

Duck Village Outfitters I don't know the price for surf lessons but heres the number you can book or ask questions

    (252)261-7222

they also rent out boards 45-60$ for a week

(other surf shop along Bodie island)

17th Street Surf Shop (Kill Devil Hills 252-441-1797)

    TK Shapes (Kitty Hawk 252-441-9095)

Whalebone Surf Shop (Nags Head 252-441-6747)

Wave Riding Vehicles (Kitty Hawk 252-261-7952)

The best place to go in duck is Duck pier but you can pretty much drive up and down bodie island to look for any breaks that suits you

Have fun and enjoy every moment of it

  6. There are a number of surf shops close to where you are going to be.  Not sure what the rates are on rentals.  Just call some of the numbers in the link below.  Kitty Hawk, Nags Head, and Kill Devil Hills all have decent surf spots and there is a decent break near the pier in Duck.  Surf spots in the Outer Banks are constantly changing with the movement of sandbars. Ask the guys at the surf shop where it's been breaking and where a good beginner wave is.  They should be able to point you in the right direction.
