I want to learn how to surf!?

Make surfing friends who can give you the idea.

You'll be no good if you try and learn while sitting behind a computer..........

Do some online searching, type in Surf Camp and see what is best for you in your locations, then go have fun.

Go for it! Either find a friend who surfs or head to a local surf shop and talk with someone there about lessons. I would suggest starting on a nice thick long-board in some mellow waves so you can get the mechanics of balance, paddling and standing up on take off down. Nothing is more discouraging than having a small board in surf that is too challenging for a newbie.

Learn the basic etiquette as well....IE don't drop in on other people and stay out of the way.
