  1. Then this is a time that you need to be reading up on alot of books on the subject.  You have to start somewhere and reading is your way to knowledge about this subject.

  2. The best way to learn is to do serious study into magic. Generally my family believes that you should study for at least three years before doing any sort of spellwork.

  3. First of all - as you are a minor, it is unethical and illegal for any adult to teach you witchcraft without the consent of your parents.

Secondly - I don't advise you jump right in and start with a "beginner spell".  You should start by learning meditation and magical techniques - building a foundation of knowledge of how magic works, and how it does not.  You need to learn how to raise, direct, and release energy - which is the driving force of a spell that makes it actually work.

These are the books I would recommend you start with:

Magic is energy.  Plain and simple.  So the magic itself is not "black" or "white" as some like to label it (or "dark" as you say).  Energy has no color.  It is the intent and direction that the witch sends that energy which determines its purpose.

Think of it like fire.  Fire warms you and keeps you from freezing in the cold winter months.  But carelessness with or misuse of fire could cause your house to burn down and leave you homeless.  Is the fire itself good or bad?  No.  It is how it is used/directed that makes it helpful or harmful.  Just like magic.

  5. "Any type" is really not a good place to start.  There are so many kinds of magical practice out there that you might want to do a little research before you start randomly asking people to teach you spells.

There is, for instance, ceremonial magic.  Very specific diagrams and invocations are used to invite, coerce, or control entities that vary from "angels" to "elementals", and have them accomplish various tasks.

There is witchcraft, using natural forces, correspondences, and your own inner strength to accomplish as certain goal or bring about a particular result.

There are various forms of sympathetic magic (of which voodoo is the most notorious), which relies on the principle of contamination and correspondence to make a certain thing happen.

Related to magic, (but not quite the same) there is divination, astral travel and other astral practices, and manipulation of various psychic principles.

Narrow your interests a bit.  Find out what kind of magic intrigues you most, and THEN start looking for a teacher.  Keep in mind that most ethical teachers won't teach you yet, unless there's a darn good reason, or you have your parents' express permission. It's not the spells themselves that are dangerous (usually.)  It's using spells for the wrong reasons that is the real danger, and most thirteen-year-olds have not developed the kind of critical thinking skills to determine that.

  6. I think you should understand the basic priciples behind magic before you go starting spells. Go get a book and read up on it first.

  7. um.. spells? like in harry potter?  i dont think thats possible

  8. You begin by reading and understanding, not just by deciding to do spell. As for magic, its energy. It isn't black or white, gray or green, it all deals with your intent and your will.Magic takes a lot fo studying and is serious, you don't fool around with it, play games with it.
