WHAT IS IT MADE OF ? IS THERE ANY COLLECTORS VALUE? ARE THERE MANY OF THEM? ARE THEY STILL BEING MADE?

  1. The coin I beleive you are referring to is actually in circulation and just recently released by the US mint as the first in a series of $1 presidential coins. Here is a link with more information http://www.usmint.gov/mint_programs/$1co...

    Since this has just recently been dispursed and is in circulation, it does not carry much colletors value at present, however is likely to gain value when the coins are no longer produced. Make a habit of collecting circulating coins as these may some day become collectors items. As with all coins and collectables, these are better in sets, so try to collect all of the presidential coins.


  2. It's the first coin of the US Mint's Presidential Dollar series. It was released early last year (2007). The mint plans to issue of these each year, each coin bearing the portrait of a different president.
