I want to learn skimboarding...whats the first step to do?

Me too. I just started by asking people who know their stuff. You will usually get very vague answers but my friends have suggested by starting off with something beginner-ish. An example would be a Victoria Woody skimboard. Do a little research online and then hit the beach or wherever your going to be skimming at.

Get a skimboard that you like.  Practice as much as you can.  As for actually skimming, once the wave leaves the shore, throw the board so that it will glide on the wet sand, run after it, and just jump on with a firm and comfortable stance.
