  1. Well, to learn piano doesn't necessarily have to mean you have to have a piano. Buy a keyboard, they shouldn't cost more than $300, I got mine for $150.

For instance this would cover what you ned : http://www.flickr.com/photos/chris_carte...

    or something like that anyway

  2. I always wanted to take piano lessons and would have been faithful about practicing. I had to wait until I got to college to actually take classes in piano.

Half the time we sat at uprights with another student and two students shared one piano or we sat at our desks and had a practice keyboard that made no sound and did not have all the octaves.

I spent many hours of practice in the piano rooms.

If you follow Obewan's advice and just "feel the force, Luke" it's like the tips of your fingers have little brains inside them that know how to play piano even if your own brain can't keep up. Your fingers learn the piece and they know what to do. That's what lots of practice, going over the same thing again and again will do for you. It teaches your fingers to do the thinking.
