  1. Try some map games on-line :

  2. Ok what you do is everyday research about 10-20 countries and research them well. Go to the back of an atlas and find all the names and go from a-z throughout the month. Then type the names of the country on google or yahoo or whatever you use and you will find facts about it easily. Hope this helps. Good luck. Man you have alot of work to do.

  3. i think you should buy one , the political map of the world... i mean come on how expensive can it be ?  sfter you have it stick it on your wall and learn the shape of all the earth , like a painting , the continents are not moving! after you now the continents , their shape , then learn all the general things the important oceans , were are located the big countries and the most important ones ,  after you know all this try too zoom the map on each continent , you must have a memory of image , if you you never heard of that country google it and found something interesting that it will make it easy to remember ,

try to learn very well the continent you are living in ,

but a month is a very short term for such a big knowlegdes for life , try to love geography , i do , and it s great

(actually the continents are moving but the results are in milions of years so no problem :)) )

  4. you know what i did?

i bought a map... then i took everywhere i went...

  5. Try drawing one.  Some years ago, I wanted a tablecloth with a map of the world on it, and couldn't find one.  After spending some months looking without success, I bought a blank tablecloth, sketched and enlarged a map of the world from an atlas, used those sketches to make overlapping stencils from cornflakes' packets (eg. my West Europe and African stencils overlapped in the Mediterranean, and that allowed me to align everything up appropriately), used those to gradually trace the outline onto the cloth, and then practised with silk paints.  Eventually, I had a tablecloth with a map of the world on it.

Using an approach something along those lines, get a world map from an atlas and produce an enlarged version on bits of paper.  Stick the separate sheets together, fill in the international borders as best you can, and write the names of the countries on.
