I want to learn to tumble?

I'm 15 and not very athletic, but I work out and have lost like 20 pounds. I know that i need to stretch to get flexible and work on upperbody strength and stuff but is there anything else i can do. And what kind of stretches should i do and for how long or how many, thanks!

I really hope its not too late, they always say the best time to learn is when you're young but I REALLY want to learn to do this. I'm willing to devote my whole summer to it.

=)

  1. If yo want to learn and can prove that you will stick with it then try and get your parents to spring for some classes. If that is too expensive, (budgets are tight latley), maybe you can check into your local community classes. Somea areas offer free or low cost classes throught the parks and recreation departments. Go on the internet for your area or better yey open your local phone book and look under your local government pages and see what's availabe. By the way, 15 is not too old to start learning tumbling.

the above are some good links for stretches.  It is good that you lost weight.  Gymnasts use spotters to help them with moves.  The lighter one is, the easier to spot.  You may find that you will become athletic, yet.  Fifteen is fairly old to start. You need to really focus and work very hard.
