Anyone know what would be a good profession, that wouldnt require too much training or skill. I am a hard worker, and motivated, so just want to get good at my new trade asap. Any ideas?

  1. electrician is probably better , new regs for domestic wiring so you are in as fresh as others . Admitedly they have experience ( the older ones ) but it is not that difficult and if you can find an electrician to work with it would help . Good luck and I am sure it will be enjoyable . A change is as good as a rest . I am going packing shelves .

  2. Hi there, I Will go to the point 'cause i need to go out, here's this website i personally recommend you, it's your choice if you take my advise or not http://outofratrace.pinurl.com have a great day

  3. Well, you've picked three of most skillful professions. Without professional qualifications you need to become an apprentice.

You don't need much prior training to get a job at McDonalds, sweeping the floors and flipping burgers...

  4. May be you can establish a business with less physical activity requirement. Say a small real estate agency firm where you can improve your customer relationship management side or an internet merhandise to sell some niche products. If you admire physical activities you can produce your own goods and sell them via web, many people does that in UK as far as I know. The easiest way to get self employed is via establishing a business online. You can learn web design and programming in a shorter period of time than you can master being a carpenter, plumber etc. It takes sometime to get enough experience to be a good one, trust me!

  5. Why don't you use your financial training to open up a business like something you would enjoy if you have the capital. That to me would seem like a easier transformation than jumping into these skilled labors.Or look up the best jobs for the future and maybe you'll find something that interests you.

  6. Go into a job centre and ask or pick up information on trades.

How long they take. How much you will get while training. Will you be accepted into a union if you want to join. Will you have to join one.Where in the country can you move to to do the course. They are very helpful these days to set someone on

track.Good luck in whatever you decide to become.

  7. I know that if you want to become electrician/electrical engineer there is only one website focused ONLY on UK electrical industry and market:

    http://www.electrojob.co.uk

For electrician training visit City and Guilds:

    http://www.cityandguilds.com

It will be very hard to get an electrical job without qualifications. NVQ or 17th edition IEE are almost essential even if you want to be self employed - simply you need to know how to do the job...

    Another alternative is electrical apprenticeship.
