Question:

I want to level my ground for a pool but don't have any experience in that area.?

me and my husband will be doing the job ourselves and we have no clue what to do.the pool is 24' round.I know we have to put down sand but what is the easiest way to level the ground before the sand goes down?what kind of company might do this kind of work?

  1. any contractor... but its really easy to do.  First, decide where you want the middle point to be.  Put a stake in the ground there.  Then put several stakes around the outside of the area to level.  mark the middle stake at the height you want the ground to be. Then take string and a small level that hangs on string (at Home Depot for $2) Put individual strings to each outside stake ... hang the level on each string and adjust the string untill each is level... fill in dirt or sand till it is the same height as the string... Remember... if you want it tamped (packed down) you will need some type of device, or your foot power, to pack it down too.
