I want to listen to Capital Radio but when i tune my car radio to 95.8fm, its Radio 4 which comes up?

  1. you already have your answer it is about distance from the station and other stations broadcasting on the same frequency closer to you

  2. Capital Radio is a London station, and you lose the signal about 30 miles away.

    With Glasgow being 400 miles away, you're going to have a problem in your car - however at home, you could always listen online.

  3. As Leek says, the signal fades after 30 miles or so. In this worldwide internet generation we often find that the old stuff gets forgotten.

    There are many stations assigned to eah viable frequency in all countries - as long as the don't overlap and interfere with one another.
