  1. I know that Japan has begun hiring Filipino and Indonesian nurses in large numbers starting this year, but I don't know about the specifics so I'm sorry i can't say anything about it. But one thing for sure is Saitama is a very good place to live. Even better than Tokyo. I used to live in Saitama. Hope you good luck.

Search results with keywords "Filipino nurses" plus japan:

My guess is that the procedure required is much different from Japanese nurses. I'm pretty sure you can go to school to get the necessary certificate while working in japan.

EDIT. As Mr. The Cheap has made clear, it looks like you need to have at least two years of nursing experience in your country. Anyway i wish you good luck!

  2. You need to graduate from a Japanese school. That means you need to speak, read and write Japanese at a native level..

A male Filipino nurse in Japan ? I'm willing to bet there are none. Even a Japanese male nurse is uncommon.

  3. Simply speaking, you can't take any NCLEX in Saitama or any place of Japan because you ARE not qualified as JAPANESE nurse officially yet. To take NCLEX exam in Japan you rally need to have been nurse  experience offcially more than 2 or 3 years already there.

In addition, threre is no practical nursing category in Japan. You can't do nothing there at the moment. You even can't come to Japan. To be nurse in Japan, you must finish nursing school there and pass national exam anyway.

Philippines qualification is nothing usefull at all in Japan. That is just a piece of wasting paper. Stay Philippines or go Canada instead which is much more better for your future.

  4. NCLEX is a nurse license for US. You need Japanese license to work as a nurse in Japan.

If you want to take Japanese nurse license,

1, You go to 2-4 years nursing school.

2, You take nurse exam and pass it.

You have to do 1-2 all in Japanese. So you have to start from basic Japanese.

    Addition:

OK. Let me elaborate Tanaka's answer.

The program of hiring Filipino nurses is based on EPA (economic partnership agreement).  If you want to take part in it, you need to take nurse license in Philippines first.

Then you wait for the Japanese government recruiting another group of nurses from Philippines. The 1st recruitment is already over. And I don't know when the 2nd time will be.

But this could be more reliable option for you.
