  1. well...what do you want to know?

first of all, you have to be sure that it's what you want to do. it has to be your path or calling.

there are just some things about witcraft to get you informed.

**Witchcraft uses the pentagram as a protection symbol like christian us the cross and jews us the star of david

**We call Halloween Samhain--you pronounce is (Sawin) and it is one of the Sabbats or one of your 8 festivals. we start it at sundown. Samhain is a time of no time.

**We don't eat babies and worship the devil...ACTUALLY, we don't even believe in satan!

**we believe that when you die, you go to summerland, a place to relax and decide if you want to come back or stay and help

**we believe in ghost, reincarnation..all that good stuff!

**We worship the God and Goddes or Lord and Lady

this is a really good website.

It gives you alot of info on wicca. Very good and easy to understand. it kind of dumbs it down for you.

    http://wicca4beginners.tripod.com/html/m...

    So does this one

    http://www.beginnerwicca.com/

And you should buy some books too!

the writer Scott Cunningam is really good.

There are also many types of magic like Candle Magic

    Herb Magic

if you want to start soon, you can start with meditaton. that's very important.

    Here's a website on it.

    http://meditation.org.au/class1.asp

    good luck!

    BB

NOTE: BB means Blessed Be and it's what wiccans say instead of "God Bless"

Go to http://witchvox.com/ and at the top left hand corner of the website it says "YOUR town..." pick the state that you live in and it will give you all the coven and all the stores and people that are in that state and it's VERY helpfull. you can find your town and see who else is a witch and where they offer classes and stores covens etc

  2. Merry Meet Tyr,

There are many legitimate sources out there today. One being Witchvox at http://www.witchvox.com/, they have many links for mentors or even a Coven, Circle or Grove near you.  If there are none near you, you could look into getting online training through the Sacred Mists at http://www.workingwitches.com/wicca/cour... or OZ Wicca at http://www.ozwicca.com/ , both are pretty decent for learning the Craft on the Web.

Also if you can, get your hands on Wicca for Beginners by Thea Sabin and/or The Circle Within by Dianne Sylvan. Both of these books are very good reading and both will give you some deeper insight to the Craft and how it relates to you.

I hope that this information helps you out.

    Always in Light and Love
