I want to look up my family in Sicily online, how would I go about doing this?

I know the cities they live in, their last names and some of their first names, how do I get started?

If yo have last names and cities you may start searching with http://www.paginebianche.it  This is the official Italian white pages website. You may enter your data and receive a list of the people with that family name in that town (or area, province, region) complete of road address, phone and often mobile nr and e-mail.

This will be possible only if at least one person in that family has registered for a land line

You may also try direct searches using the local search engines of yahoo and google ( yahoo.it and google.it) and their advanced searches, or  those of virgilio.it .

There is also a specific Sicilian search engine at http://www.siciliano.it/
