  1. Mark C provided you with some good advice as protein does build muscle mass, but the last thing you want to do is cut down on what you eat, if you exercise your body needs the food to recover and gain back the nutrients it has lost during exercise. Eat your meats your vegetable and your fruit , and make sure you have a good breakfast, I recommend whole grain cheerios mixed with special k a glass of orange juice and a slice of toast with jam or peanut butter even nutella as it provides good nutrition, and i don't know what kind of exercising you do but if you don't already run i suggest you start doing so as it will trim you down and make you lean and strong without ever bulking up

  2. Calories and such doesn't really matter when it comes to loosing muscle mass. When eating, your aim should be to take in as LITTLE protein as possible, as this is what your muscles are made of. When you have a protein deficiency, your body will start to take some from your muscles.

Basically, stay away from proteins, such as yogurt, eggs, meats, beans, rice, anything. Look at the nutritional facts and such before intake, to make sure to get as little protein as possible.
