  1. stop eating for while

  2. Keeping a food journal really does help.  It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.

    Make a few small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days.  Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer.

    Start a weight lifting routine. It will help increase your metabolism and make you feel and look better in so many ways. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall.

    In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish.   Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts.  Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy.  Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses a day, and more if it is very hot, it you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely. You will begin to see changes in your body.

  6. well, if you really want to lose some weight (by the way your only a little oversized, so DON'T worry!) then do the following:

    you can either;

    * join a swimming club (i'm sure your mum won't say no if you ask her nicely! lol)

    * go out for a bike ride every now and then.

    * if you like running, then go out for one! (just about 30min though.... you don't want to tire yourself out!)

    have fun, and gud luk!

  7. I'm 14 as well (and on my mums Yahoo account by the way) and I was EXACTLY the same around the beginning of the summer. I bought a rubber skipping rope from JJB it was about £10 - But h**l it actually payed off. Most people said I didn't look 11.5 Stone - I could pass for 10. And I'm only 5''2'. I drank coke alot - So I switched to orange and apple juice. I ate alot of frozen foods like Birdseye chicken nuggets and mccains home fries. I ate jacket potato instead 2wice a week. And done 150 quick jumps in the garden every few hours. Make sure you drink alot aswell (take a water bottle into the garden/yard with you) And when your exersising wear a tighter or sports bra so your b***s won't jiggle about and p**s you off when your jumping. And wear a jacket or a jumper to make you sweat more. It may sound a bit yack but it pays off. Eat maybe an apple/banana/strawberries instead of a packet of crisps, and you can still munch on a peice of chocolate and have say instead of a pack of crisps once a day cut down and eat a bowl of pasta or spaghetti. You have to eat more to lose weight. Sounds crazy and i'm babbling on - But sorry this will help. Best thing is my mum said is to stuff your face and do exersize. Also if you have a favorite song it may sound weird but jump about and dance and prat about in your room or lounge to the song/album. I'm now ( from all that exersize and stuffing my face ) going into year 10 a new person. 10 stone Seven ish last time i checked :) and my mum and everyone can notice a different, im more energetic and my face is thinner. And thats in 5 weeks. Make sure you check your weight at the same time a day - As your weight will change about +/- 3lbs a day.

    Message me if you need any other advice or questions. Also if you are in a big school take the long way to classes.

  8. brisk walk an hour daily...eat e small healthy meal every 4 hours and drink water mainly...stay confident But stay away from fad diets...

  9. Do you have a park or field near you house? If so, go for a walk or you could speed walk and if you feel up for it, jog. Get a skipping rope and do some skipping as well. Bike rides are good. Go ona long one all around where you live.

    Also you need to eat healthily. Cut out crisps and biscuits and eat fruit instead. It might sound boring at first but ou actually lsoe all cravings for the rubbish once you get used to it.

    You sound like my sister (same age, same weight) and she likes doing "tae bo" DVDs. I bought one off http://www.dvd.co.uk and it's really good. It's about half an hour/25mins long and you can do it in your bedroom :) It was only about £3 or something like that.

    Hope this helps!

  10. There is no magical exercise program to lose weight. Your fat cells don't know the difference from running to swimming to weight training. The simple formula that is the same for everyone ,is eat fewer calories than you burn. The easiest and healthiest way to do this is to avoid high glycemic carbs, (sugars, white breads,white rice, white pasta and processed foods). Pick any exercise you enjoy doing (not because it's easy), the easier the exercise, the longer you have to do it to burn the same calories as a more strenuous exercise. If you just add exercise and continue eating the foods that built the fat in the first place, nothing will likely change. You will just eat more , due to your increased appetite from the exercise. You can't have a blahblahblah attitude to healthy diets if you want to lose weight, because that is the key ingredient to losing weight. Hope this helps and good luck on losing the weight.
