  1. Sounds good, but I would change the diet soda to water.  And if you want flavor, then get the flavored water, or water packets.  Also, I'm not sure if you are a fan of rice, but brown rice is good, as well as seafood.  Fish and shrimp are always a good choice.  :) You can use real sugar, just use it in moderation.  Cut out Salt,or also use it in moderation.  And chicken is healthy, as long as you cook it right.  Fried is not the answer.  Baked is okay sometimes, but mostly boiled is best.  Also, if you must have something "fried" here's a recipe that is a winner in my house hold! :)

    Fried Brown Rice

    Ingredients needed:

    Brown rice

    water

Pam (Original) Cooking Oil Spray (non-fat)

    Soy Sauce

    Worcestershire Sauce

    Pepper

Boil rice as usual.  When rice is done put in a bowl and in the freezer until cool.  (Usually takes only about 2-3 minutes) While rice is cooling spray your frying pan lightly with the Pam.  Stove on medium-low to medium heat.  Take rice out of freezer and put in pan.  Arrange rice in center of pan in a square, and then mash together till almost flat.  Then pour the Worcestershire Sauce on the rice (Just a little will do, but really its all about how much flavor you want).  When you hear the sauce sizzle at the at the bottom of the pan flip the rice until every piece is covered.  You may repeat with the Worcestershire sauce if you feel it was not covered well enough.  Do the same thing with the soy sauce.  Pour on rice, when sizzles on bottom, flip rice to cover.  Add some pepper, mix in rice.  Turn on low.

Then you can mix in chicken pieces if you want, sausage, hotdogs, or even shrimp.  Or, you can make home made teriyaki chicken to go with it.  The recipe for that is quite simple as well.

    Teriyaki Chicken

    Ingridents:

Boneless Chicken (strips, thighs, whatever you want)

    1 cup soy sauce

    1 cup sugar

    1 cup water

(you can play with the ingridiants and add more than a cup of which ever one if you want, I usually add just a little more water, depending on how much I'm cooking.)

Mix all ingridents in a pot and let boil for 30 minutes.  When finsihed boiling, drain chicken and serve.

    Enjoy!

Oh, and by the way, you can always give yourself at least one cheat day.  We usually "cheat" on Saturdays and have pizza or something like that.  Though we eat it in moderation of course! :)

Ah! And I almost forgot, but if you are cooking and you need to use ground beef, but you don't want all the grease, try Morning Star Farms meal starters Grillers Recipe Crumbles.  It's 80% less fat that regular ground beef, NO grease to drain, cooks from frozen in minutes without thawing out(!).  Its vegitarian "meat" that tastes like regular meat! The first time I had it I didn't even know it wasn't regular ground beef! I just thought my husband had cooked it better than he normally did! haha....okay, I'm done now...sorry so long!

  2. I feel that you are absolutely missing water from your list! Water may make the numbers go up on the scale for a little while, but I'm convinced it is absolutely critical for a healthy lifestyle and weight loss.

My dirty habit is diet soda.. it is not good for anybody.. but I like it so much! You should probably not drink it, or at least cut back.

The kind of foods that accelerate weight loss for you the most will depend on your body type. If you have a slow metabolism, and hold weight easily, avoid carbs at all costs. Instead focus on lots of lean meat like chicken, turkey, and seafood. I'm not familiar with other body types, but a little bit of research will surely help.

Keep at it! Making an effort, even if its not the most effective, is better than doing nothing at all.

  3. no diet soda. chicken isnt gunna get you skinny. the rest is good

  4. diet soda isn't any better for you than regular soda really. there is still a ton of sugar in it and fake products that aren't good for you. your best bet is to get rid of soda altogether. and drinking 8 glasses of water every day is key. i always carry a bottle or two with me. it really keeps your body regular. chicken is definitely better than beef. but fish is better than chicken, if you like the taste. anything organic is better for you as well, but can get really pricey. milk and eggs and things like that i think are a necessary evil. the fake eggs or fake milk products usually have lots of other stuff in them that you don't need. you're better off just eating the real thing. also, eating small snacks and meals throughout the day instead of three big meals really makes a difference. you might feel like 6 small meals is a lot, but it keeps your metabolism running all day long instead of stocking up on big meals and making your metabolism run really slowly.

cardio every day is great too!

    good luck!

  5. sounds good execpt for 2 things. first all that low fat stuff will eventually kill you so you need to make a week maybe once every 2 moths to eat regular stuff. and second as for diet soda its great. EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT IT GIVES U CANCER.just drinking regualr suger reduced soda is better. un less you want to get cancer?(for some strange reason i dont understand)

  6. I'm on a doctor-prescribed diet plan, losing 2 to 3 pounds a week. Here are the foods I am allowed to eat. Your diet plan has some huge holes in it, like the diet soda, yogurt, and pickled things. Hope mine helps.

    -------

Besides taking a vitamin supplement every day, here is how I eat:

Meat, Poultry and Fish: 2 portions, 7 to 8 oz. a day. Beef and pork are counted as the same, limited to twice a week and I can only eat 5 oz. at a time. Do not mix meats.

Dairy: 2 Tbsp. skim milk (that's no-fat) a day (like in coffee). No cheese or yogurt at all. Eggs count as a protein and one serving (3 eggs) can be eaten twice a week. Cottage cheese also allowed (7 oz.), also counted as a protein. Can be mixed with eggs (like, 2 eggs and 3 oz. of cc).

Vegetables: 4 portions a day, 1 cup raw, 1/2 cooked. No starchy veggies allowed, like corn, carrots, beans and peas.

Fruit: 3 portions a day, 1/2 cup raw. Grapes, cherries, etc. are 9 per portion.

Starch: 2 portions a day, 80 calories or less. 1/4 cup potato or brown rice three times a week (Yeah, potato is more starch than vegetable).

Protein supplements: 2 supplements a day (helps recharge your metabolism by eating a lot of protein).

Drinks: 8 8-oz. glasses of water a day. One cup tea or coffee per day allowed. No soft drinks, fruit juices, concentrates, etc.

Extras: No oils, butters, condiments. Using Pam is allowed, as is fat-free dressing (1-2 Tbsp.) as long as it is done in moderation. Only herbs that don't have salt in them are allowed. Must take 1/4 tsp. Morton's Lite salt per day (a potassium-based salt that helps regulate your body and works with the potassium pill).

If you implement some of the dietary restrictions above, combined with exercise, the weight should just fall off.

I can eat at home and in restaurants, and it really is a great diet.

  7. stick to a regular diet a "low-fat" diet won't do you any good. stop drinking pop period. Make sure you get enough servings of vegetables, fruits in your day. Protein is good, it should be your new friend it will help you burn fat. Try to get out and jog every day, you may not notice a drop in you weight but you will notice that you loosing fat and building muscle and you will get a slimming look. But remember no pop, of coffee or any of that ****, stick to OJ, cranberry juice and water.
