  1. You can't just eat oatmeal all the time and you really should have breakfast.  Get up earlier if you don't have time.  It takes 1 minute to cook an egg and make some toast.  You can have yoghurt, fruit and granola, seconds to prepare.  If you don't eat in the morning you'll be starving by noon.  Do other kids bring their lunch?  Bring your own.  Avoid white foods to lose weight quickly i.e., sugar, flour, cornstarch, pasta, rice and all food made with these ingredients.

  2. Ok, first of all, I know you've heard the term "breakfast is the most important meal of the day."  I know that makes you want to roll your eyes, but it's the absolute truth.  Think about it - your body needs fuel.  You've been sleeping about 8 hours, and you probably ate dinner like 3 or 4 hours before, so by the time you wake up, you've been without any fuel for like 12 hours.  Your body is literally starving for fuel.  Breakfast is the one meal every day you should NOT skip.  Eating a healthy, balanced breakfast will give you more energy and help you concentrate better in school.

So here's what I recommend.  If you're not all that hungry (which is deceptive - I guarantee you are hungrier than you feel), eat a small, balanced breakfast.  A whole grain (oatmeal is good) with a protein (a hard-boiled egg or at least a glass of milk), and some fresh fruit.  Not canned fruit, mind you - fresh fruit.  A banana, an apple, a pear...something like that.

You should never feel stupid for bringing your own lunch.  It saves you a ton of money and you eat way better.  Again, stick to WHOLE GRAIN breads - make sure it says "Whole Grain" on the package, and stay far, far away from white bread.  That stuff'll kill ya.  Eat something you know is healthy - turkey or roast beef with lettuce and tomato & a little mayo,  or maybe tuna salad or egg salad.  Even PB&J is not half bad if served on a nice, fresh whole-wheat bread.  Make sure you have a piece of fruit to go along with it.  If you're not in the mood for a sandwich, how about an 8 oz. container of low-fat yogurt?  You don't have to go non-fat - you do need some fat in your diet, and the non-fat yogurts tend to lose flavor, as far as I'm concerned.  I know you guys don't get much time to eat in school, so maybe cut yourself half an apple to bring with you, and always buy milk at school.  You're still young and you need the nutritional benefits of milk.  And just for fun, why not finish it off with 2 (and I do mean only 2) Oreos or chocolate chip cookies.  Who says EVERYTHING has to be nutritious?

I can pretty much guarantee it's not the water that's made you put on weight - it's probably everything else you're eating - the not-so-healthy stuff, that is - combined with skipping breakfast that's caused the problem.  Keep active and continue drinking the water.  Remember it's the one substance we absolutely cannot live without.

I think if you're smart about what you're eating during the day, you'll have a lot more energy and you'll be able to concentrate better and absorb things better in school, and healthy eating habits now will give you a longer and healthier life later.

    Good luck!

  3. Sorry to disappoint you but unless you are clinically obese (and have been told so by a doctor) you should not be trying to lose weight at 15 because your body is still growing and needs not only lots of good food to support this crucial stage of life but also it is not a recommended route. I'd say start off with a healthy hearty breakfast--oats are good-- but you also need lots of fresh fruit, a good source of protein such as free range eggs, tofu or fish such as salmon which give you essential fatty acids (Omega3&6). Keep in mind that your brain needs protein as well.

Have a light lunch such as fresh salads with some form of protein in it. You are alredy doing good in avoiding sodas, keep to water and other healthy drinks and rather than try to go on diet, try establishing healthy eating habits for life and you will keep your weight in check for many happy years. Good luck.

  4. Low Fat dairy.

Clinical studies show that people who have lots of low fat dairy in their diet weight less. This is because the calcium in the dairy binds with fat, and it is excreted instead of absorbed. Skim milk, low-fat yogurt, low fat cheese, etc.

  5. Water won't make you gain weight, I mean not technically cause you'll pee it out so keep drinking it. School food usually sucks so pack your own lunch and don't worry about what people think. The best things to eat are organic fruits/veggies and wheat bread (white is not good for you). Stay away from red meat and dairy as well. As far as skipping breakfast, I know how much it sucks to eat early in the a.m. but skipping meals isn't good. The more you do it the more you metabolism slows down in an effort to conserve energy and fat. Your body basically goes into a starvation mode because it isn't sure when you'll eat again and this makes it a lot harder to lose weight. So maybe try some fruit or a smoothie for breakfast. My suggestion, watch You Are What You Eat on the BBC. That show has taught me so much on what foods are good and bad and what they do for you and to you. Good luck!

  6. theres this diet that is from the doctor. its called 3 day diet. you follow it for three days then the other 4 ur eating what you want (but not like a piggy, just regular servings) and it helps u lose up to 10 lbs a week. this happens because the things you eat break down the foods from the other 4 days quicker and you dont actually keep the fat because the certin foods are put together to break it apart. like i said its from a doctor otherwise i wouldnt tell anyone about a diet.

nd at least walk everyday if not run or something else

  7. you are only 15.... not sure whether are you active, if you are your metabolism should be rather high, you should have burned the fats away. if you arent active then get active! else try to cut down on carbs... good luck!

  8. veggies fruit i think

  9. Have fud contains lots of fruits and veggies.avoid bananas nd avocadoes.hav fat free yoghurt instead of milk.

  10. Eat vegetable it healthy and it will definitely make u loose weight.

  11. fruit veggies grilled or baked chicken water and low or fat free milk.girl u sure as h**l r determined=]

  12. You should continue drinking water. Cut out all the sweets and eat less bread. You should really start eating in the morning because that will prevent you from overating later on in the day. Also, don't be embarrassed to bring lunch to school because you know what you put into it and how healthy it is. Good luck.

  13. Eat something in the morning, or else your body slows down your metabolism, and you'll gain more weight from the food you eat later. Eat more dark green and yellow vegetables, and fruits in moderation (fruit sugar can make you gain weight). Reduce your portions. You may be getting so hungry from skipping breakfast that you gorge yourself at lunch. Why do you feel retarded bringing a lunch? I'm 34 and I bring my own lunch to work.

  14. The 3 day diet is a good crash diet to loose 10lbs (I always gain it right back) - you really do loose 10lbs in 3 days.

South beach diet is pretty cool

and there's always Sacred Heart (or cabbage soup) diets.
