Sorry about all the recent questions... I promise this will be the last one for at least a week.

Anyway, I am 15 and wish to make $2000 before the beginning of the summer of 2009 and still have time to do my homework, get together with family, and friends etc.

What are my best options?

I've already looked into selling items on eBay, and getting a job.

Any more suggestions to add to this?

Also, thank you to everyone that has left feedback to my other questions.

  1. to be honest most people think the best way to get money is to make money...

that may be true but don't over look the money you have!

budget yourself in your spending and the money will show up. Yes it sounds lame and tedious and boring but it works. I budgeted myself and now I have 3000 more dollars in my account for the year. That's one year of tuition or a trip for at least two people.

find what you spend your money on in two categories: necessities and spending. Than break your spending into two more categories of things that will get you ahead (clothing) and things you like to spend money on (food, movies) find ways to cut the money down like spending the night in or finding discounts in your favourite stores.

remember to ask for discounts or bargains because many of them aren't even posted. My old job selling luggage's we were able to give 15 to 20% off one piece and up to 40% off two or more pieces! no one knew unless they asked me or unless i liked them

but for making money use what you have or do what you know. Know how to skateboard? teach kids for money. Love art? get a summer job or even look after a kid or two and preoccupy them with art. Even though you are young that doesnt mean you cant make the money. If you use what you have and know it could not only lead you to more money but to a career in the future. develop your skills while your still young!

  2. So, it looks like you have about 9 months to work with.Hmmm...so we are looking at saving about 200 a month. If you turn 16 before next summer you may be able to work a few months before the summer. If you trim your spending before you get a job you should be able to save money that way as well. Hopefully, you can get cash for xmas.
