  1. Hi,

    This website is really nice, you can find and learn lots of thing ;

  2. turkish doner all the way

    ustasi yapsin

    karistirmayin isi

    i suggest you go buy it

  3. You will need premium lamb meat to make the original doner. You are right though, the Greek Gyro is just a bad imitation of Iskender Doner (Doner means rotates, hence gyro I guess:) You will need to stack filets of lamb meat on top of each other on a vertical skewer and cook them beside a stack of charcoal (assuming you don`t have the gyrating mechanism originally used).

    It will be complicated to do it yourself, I know I`ve never tried... But you can substitute cow meat for the doner, but it does truly taste better with lamb. There may be some Turkish restaurants in your area that do it the original way, so i suggest asking around.

  4. The Greek gyro is not ground meat is chunks of meat.  However,  if you want to eat the Turkish one,  I think it will taste better in Turkey!   So,  better go there before you mess up your house!  ;-)     Also,  once you go,  there might be a person who will teach you how to make it!

    (all this food makes one hungryyyyyyyy!)
