I want to make a CRAZY pillow for my friend,any ideas?

My friend and I have a tradition,every birthday we give eachother a homemade pillow, i have a sewing machine,lots of material, a scissors and time, any fun pillow ideas?

oh and the number '23' has to be on it somewhere.

Well since she is a friend and friends usually share clothes I would take some things that she borrowed that you don't wear anymore and use them to make a patchwork style pillow, not only will it be an original but every time she looks at the pillow it'll remind her of you, your friendship and times that she had while wearing them. And you can incorporate the # 23 in the design.

by now this girl must have a lot of pillows, huh? so why not bring a bit more function into the design.. like:

it could be a pillow/ draft excluder - like a long animal with a '23' sweater on.

or a neck pillow..

or a thin pillow with a hook on it and 23 pockets on it that she can hang on the wall..

or an ergonomic design to suit her favorite way of sitting - like if she likes lounging on the couch a certain way, a pillow personally designed to fit her 'couch pose.'

Figure out a way to print some digital photos of the two of you out on the material.

Why not put a clock face on it in the centre with the big had to the two and the small had to the three and then each year you can just keep moving the little hand to the next digit. Cr*p idea I know, not really that creative. )

i rekon u should use lots of colourful patterns on the background and maybe write your friends name and 23 using cross stitch. its really easy and looks cool

also u mite want to try a different shaped pillow instead of a normal square...maybe a circle or triangle

Well you can hav like on the ends little shagged pieces

like wool hanging

the number 23 can be in the corner

or vertically going down

the colour can be a lightish purple

depends on what style

either way you go i hope your friend likes it and has a good birthday
