I want to make a band?

i really want to make a band but i haveonly a little experince what should i do

The band names okay,i've heard worse.

What do you play? Just practice a lot at whatever you play,get together a band,start making up your own tunes/lyrics and stuff.

Then practice a load more.

I think its pretty good. BE sure not to make it too long, like "new kids on the block." Make it something people can't mix up, someone might take it as a disrespectful word. Use something like Infrared or Shockwave, which is good for all ages. ;P

Well, the first thing you need to do is learn an instrument. If your talking about a rock, pop, punk, or country band. ( or any genre really)

i would suggest guitar. its universal and not very hard. you could always sing or scream (or play spoons)

Second, meet musicians to jam with. Hang out at shows or use the internet, pretty much find people who are in to the same stuff you are.

Third, be creative. you dont have to be a virtuoso to rock. the whole stripped down thing is cool now, just look at the white stripes!

Finally, Dead before you know it sounds cool, just google it or search sites to see if it is taken already. Dont put the cart before the horse, grasshopper!

im sorry but if u only have alittle experience u prob have a long way to go before ur good enough to form a band.. Prob just focus on practicing ur talent whatever that is, and whenu get pretty good u will start attracting people  who are at ur level ..people u would want to have a band with.  Also while ur practicing try to play with smone who is better than u so u can improve and learn more. Mabey go get lesons etc and .. I dont know about dead before u know it, it depends on your music style?

what instrument do you play? a good rescource is craigslist. i'd keep my eyes on the musicians adds that people put out, and maybe put one out yourself. if you put out an add you can say what kind of music your interested in playing and you can mention that you aren't overly experienced. you don't have to be that experienced to be in a local band, trust me. alot of local bands are just awefull. awefull.
