This summer, I'm going to England, and I want to do something big there to make a difference like creating a park, or creating a green space. I will only be there for a month, so I'm not sure if its enough time. And, any suggestions for places to volunteer in Toronto for August. I want to add more to my community service hours, experience, and make a difference.

  1. You can get involved with The Pencil Project.

It's easy and rewarding and a great way to help needy children around the world..

  2. You can volunteer at:

    Hospital

    Local Library

    Nursing Homes

    Rehabilitation Centers for the Disabled

    Parks & Recreation

    Privately owned gardening centers

    Day Care Centers

Also, do not overlook your local animal shelters. They always need someone to play with and walk the animals.
