  1. how about an ice cream basket.  you can go to the dollar tree and buy cute, inexpensive ice cream bowls and then add to the basket red, white and blue toppings like strawberry syrup, m&m;s (i think they have patriotic ones this time of year), mini marshmallows.  then put in a 5.00 gift card to the local grocer to purchase ice cream with.

  2. Include sparklers, red, white, blue items (good ones at Target Dollar isle) and a gift card to the local teacher store, nail salon, or spa.  If you are from a small size town, sometimes their local Chamber of Commerce has gift cards that can be used for any local business.

  3. i am a preschool teacher, and all of the previous ideas are great, but what we really love are gift cards.

  4. Note pads, pens, stickers, coffee singles, candy, etc.

  5. I saw some  pinwheels with stars and stripes on them at Wal-Mart.  Also here's what I would include(but this is just me)

Kool Aide-in red and blue colors, red and blue pens, mini bottle of sunscreen, Patriotic paper napkins, small American flag, I can't think of any more.
