I want to make a go kart from scrach?...?

i want to build it fo around £300 but i want it too be fast.i want to build the frame aswell using a welder i want to save money but i want it to be quite good ...any sugestions??

Copy an existing gokart for the frame. Use good quality tubing.I had a gokart with a Yamaha 50cc two-stroke. It was pretty fast. You probably need one with an electric start though, because it's a bind having to jump start them. Great fun! We used to run it at a track somewhere past Lakeside area.
